They include flanged cartridges, take-up units, pillow blocks and cylindrical cartridges are their types.

• Flanged Cartridge: Mounted in vertical surfaces where shaft goes through a machine frame at right angle.
• Take-Up Units: Used to adjust the center distance that’s between the shafts or where belt-tightening is needed.
• Pillow Block: Here, mounting base plane is perpendicular to the shaft; whereas, bolt holes are parallel to the shaft.
• Cylindrical Cartridges: Offer support where axis of shaft is perpendicular to and goes through machined housings.
